Guest Post: REVEL’s Peach & Dusty Blue

Saukok Tiampo, guest contributor of REVEL, has us dreaming of spring with this lovely palette.

Our latest wedding look is inspired by an updated country affair, in peach and dusty blue. Pretty shades of peach with touches of lace make for a soft look that evokes spring, while the dusty blues add a bit of elegant contrast (this is no honky-tonk!) The addition of some woodsy neutrals gives it a rustic feel, ideal for an outdoor spring/summer celebration!

Nordstrom never ceases to amaze me with the amount of perfect pretties to be found in one place:

‘Dakota’ gown from Two by Rosa Clara | Kendra Scott Earrings | Badgley Mischka ‘Goodie’ Heels | ‘Jessie’ dress from Donna Morgan

Visit me at REVEL for all the details on this dusty blue and peach wedding inspiration, or to check out our wedding inspiration by color and style!

Did he pop the question? Submit your wedding colors/your inspiration, and you may just see us build you a board in REVEL by Request!

‘Til next time,
Saukok

Music for the ceremony Have a frenid play an instrument or have pre-recorded music on a cd. Music for the reception play your own tunes off an ipod or computer (that’s what we’re doing!)Decorations float flowers in bowls. Buy colorful bowls in your wedding colors at ikea or rent them from a florist. If you have interesting stoneware rather than just glass bowls, you add additional decor without having to buy more flowers. We’re just putting a few purple flowers to float in the bowls and since the bowls are green, voila! We have both our wedding colors in each centerpiece! And they look really cool because they’re not just the usual glassware. Plus, the bowls can be re-used as .well, *bowls.* Give them to a frenid who is still living like she’s in college! She’ll have a matching set! Or (depending on how many tables you’ll have) you can just borrow bowls from somebody who has a nice set. Maybe your mom has 12 bowls of an interesting pattern go for it! Mason jars also make nice containers for flowers. Also, go to a fabric store and buy interesting fabrics to use in various places to brighten your reception space up. Wrap the fabrics around themselves and lay them at the back of the table with the place cards, etc. Accessories: what accessories do you mean, exactly? Shoes? Wear a neat pair of your own or borrow some from a frenid. People rarely look at your shoes anyway! Don’t worry about getting them in white mine are red!Jewelry? Wear something you already have or borrow some from a frenid. (Notice a trend in my advice?) Again, your bridal jewelry doesn’t have to be white Swavorski crystals it can be any color you want!Underwear? This is actually something you shouldn’t probably borrow from a frenid. There’s no real way to cut this cost ..but don’t go for the fancy lingerie. Get sensible panties and whatever support garments you need for your body type.
