This week, we bring you a stunner from BLISS Monique Lhuillier—a classic column wedding dress with a modern twist.

This embroidered lace sheath has a tulle overlay on the bodice and shoulders, so light and dainty that it’s barely there. Plus, a detachable tulle skirt adds an unexpected volume to the back of the gown. See more styles in the BLISS Monique Lhuillier Lookbook.

From demure to dramatic, ruffled details are a charming way to give texture to a wedding dress. Ruffles are often made of silk organza, a sheer fabric that varies in thickness and has a crisp trim to help it hold its shape. Depending on the cut and amount of fabric, ruffles can appear in voluminous layers or as light, feathery accents.

We’ve handpicked our favorite crinkly confections here. Find your favorite from the selections below, or browse our in-store wedding gowns for more ideas!

Love the look of a cupcake skirt? These four gowns are examples of wavy ruffles building into big shapes.

Prefer the little details? Look for airy accents like on the ‘Lou’ shrug by Caroline DeVillo or the simple ruffled peplum on Olia Zavozina’s ‘Britt’ dress.

BLISS Monique Lhuillier Lace Low Back Wedding Dress

Wedding dresses with eye-catching backs are very of-the-moment! And it makes perfect sense—most of the time, a bride is facing away from her guests during the ceremony, so why not make the back of a gown just as beautiful as the front? More and more designers are thinking beyond straight-across strapless or traditional buttons on the train and adding unexpected details like architectural shapes, low scoop cuts, illusion detailing and embellishments.

Whether it’s a dramatic keyhole like the BLISS Monique Lhuillier dress above or an intricate illusion design like Lela Rose’s ‘Tompkins Square Park’, we know one thing for sure: in these gowns, baby got back!

Find your favorite from our selections below, or browse our in-store wedding gowns for more ideas!
