Saukok Tiampo, regular guest contributor from REVEL, offers glam wedding ideas in a fresh color palette.

Today’s Art Deco Blush + Gold wedding inspiration is full of romance with a Great Gatsby twist! Keep your flowers classic in hues of blush and cream while your ‘maids don vintage-inspired gowns. Art Deco touches like earrings and signage bring a luxe vibe, but keep things from looking like a theme party.

Saukok Tiampo, guest contributor of REVEL, has us dreaming of spring with this lovely palette.

Our latest wedding look is inspired by an updated country affair, in peach and dusty blue. Pretty shades of peach with touches of lace make for a soft look that evokes spring, while the dusty blues add a bit of elegant contrast (this is no honky-tonk!) The addition of some woodsy neutrals gives it a rustic feel, ideal for an outdoor spring/summer celebration!

Nordstrom never ceases to amaze me with the amount of perfect pretties to be found in one place:

‘Dakota’ gown from Two by Rosa Clara | Kendra Scott Earrings | Badgley Mischka ‘Goodie’ Heels | ‘Jessie’ dress from Donna Morgan

Saukok Tiampo, guest contributor of REVEL, highlights the glimmering beauty of a gold and white wedding theme.

I remember being at a bit of a loss when it came to color selection for my big day. I mean, I’ve never been one of those girls who’s had a favorite color all her life – more like the one who switches up favorites every year! White and gold is the perfect palette – white, containing all the colors of the spectrum, at the same time dazzling yet innocent, light, and pure; and rich, sunny, glamorous gold. Go ahead, it’ll be stunning.

3) B Brian Atwood ‘Cassiane’ High Sandal
4) Dogeared ‘Bridesmaid – Heart’ Pendant Necklace (Nordstrom Exclusive)
5) Donna Morgan Strapless Shimmer Chiffon Dress

Visit me at REVEL for all the details on this glamorous white and gold wedding inspiration, or stop by for inspiration boards by color and style. Have an upcoming wedding? Submit your wedding colors and I might just build a board for you in REVEL by Request.

Until next time!

We’re loving the inspiration over at REVEL so much, we asked Chief Reveler, Saukok Tiampo to be a regular guest contributor for the Wedding Suite Blog…and she very graciously accepted. Here’s the first of many posts to come!

At REVEL we’re celebrating cooler weather with teal and natural greens, paired with wood surfaces and a touch of gold. Whoever said greens were for warm weather weddings never saw these olive branches, rosemary and eryngium (the spiky flowers) nestled with cream-colored blooms!

I’m not one to wade through lots of stores searching for a needle in the haystack–make this look yours with these lovelies from Nordstrom’s Wedding Suite:

Head over to REVEL to find out where to get all the other gorgeous inspirations shown.

Andrea Wasserman, our National Bridal Director, is recapping the highlights of her most recent buying trip to designers’ showrooms. Here’s what she had to share:

We’re so lucky at Nordstrom Weddings. Yes, of course we shop the bridal market twice per year for the best from bridal designers, but we also get to attend dress markets throughout the year to make sure we have the latest fashion hitting our Wedding Suites each and every month. Last week was one such market trip! We headed to New York’s Garment District to visit the showrooms of 15 designers and see what they’re offering for the winter months. We’re still finalizing our selections, so check back soon to see exactly what we picked.

Showroom: Shoshanna
Current favorite: Shoshanna ‘Risa’ Cap Sleeve Chantilly Lace Dress. The cap sleeve is summery, the deep color is all about fall and the lace is simply trend-right.

Looking forward: This was the first of several visits where shades of peach and rich mint popped up. Summer 2012 may not be over, but spring 2013 is in the air! Get in the mood for these colors with this inspiration board from our friends at REVEL. Speaking of REVEL, we stopped for lunch at L’Artusi, with founder and chief reveler, Saukok. Over a roasted-peach salad (no coincidence!), she told us how much she loves this particular color palette.

I’m such a fan of the Shoshanna bridal items coming that I may just buy them for real life, too.

Showroom: Aidan Mattox
Current favorite: Aidan Mattox One Shoulder Petal Skirt Chiffon Dress
Aidan Mattox is the home of the LWD (little white dress, of course!), and we love this one for an engagement party, a bachelorette party, a rehearsal dinner or an after-party.

Looking forward: One word: LACE.

Showroom: Jill Stuart
Current favorite: Jill Stuart Strapless Ruched Silk Chiffon Dress
This line is new to the Wedding Suite this season, and our brides have loved Jill’s LWDs (see above for the lingo lesson). We can’t get enough of the peplum and we like how this bright number brings the color trend to bridesmaids in a figure-flattering way with light fabric and a vertical line.

Looking forward: Long, feminine bridesmaid dresses and short, flirty white dresses.

Are you a REVELer? Our Weddings Team just can’t stop raving about REVEL—it’s so much more than a blog, with uniquely curated, of-the-moment wedding styles. Not to mention, totally shop-able. Bonus!

We couldn’t resist asking the editors of REVEL to handpick some of their favorite pieces from our Wedding Suite to style a dream wedding, by occasion: Classic Affair & Fashionable Fête.

As usual, their selections are a wedding-day bull’s-eye. If you’re a bride-to-be (or lover of all things weddings, like us), REVEL is a must—from its super-sleek look to the smart navigation (you can now browse by color or item type).

Some of the most fashion-forward ladies turn into unabashed classicists when it comes to their big day. And others switch things up by throwing their own trendsetting party of a lifetime. Have a look at REVEL’s latest post, and tell us which type you are when it comes to your wedding: Are you a trendsetter all the way, or “fashionable by day, classic by wedding?”
